You’ll Note That “Flipping Out” Is Not In “Tonight’s Picks”

The New York Times has panned it, Defamer says the protagonist is "compulsively abusive" (and not even that interesting), and our "Tonight’s Picks" feature suggests "The Singing Bee" instead.
But negative reviews won’t stop Jeff Lewis, the star of "Flipping Out," which debuts tonight. After all, someone out there must like reality shows about neurotic business owners, judging by how many of them Bravo has launched. This is the fourth, following "Blow Out," "Work Out," and "Hey Paula," all of which share the same basic concept.
The difference now is that "Flipping Out" reflects something that could well lead to nation-wide economic trouble: high-risk loans made for real estate speculation.
