MORNING UPDATE: The Writers Guild of America contract expired at 12:01 a.m. today. Writers were advised to clean out their desks when leaving work yesterday. A strike could come as early as Friday. Another source says not till January. NBC has killed the yet-to-be-written "Heroes: Origins" spinoff in anticipation of a strike. We’ll be posting all the news about the strike and its possible effects on your favorite shows right here for as long as it takes.
