Writers Strike: All The Latest Bad News

It really is Apocalypse Hollywood. And Jack Bauer can’t save us.
That’s what I wrote last night, and it appears even more accurate in the cold light of day. The effects of the strike are being felt faster than anyone thought. Fox late yesterday announced a complete schedule re-set for the rest of the 2007-2008 season, which includes sliding Day 7 of "24" until next season.
Perhaps not a coincidence that the WGA has scheduled its first mass picket for Friday at Fox? (Scribe Vibe) 
We’d like to bring you some hopeful news, but so far there isn’t any. The strikers mock greedy moguls. Moguls mock the strikers. Just about everyone in the industry is caught in the middle - and/or looking to the writers to set the tone for their own looming negotiations. Oh, and oil is headed for $100 a barrel. Yup, nothing but good news.
