Nominees for the 60th Annual Writers Guild Awards were released this morning, with the ceremony scheduled for Feb. 9, strike or no strike, on both the west and east coasts.
Comedy series nominees were HBO’s "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Entourage" and "Flight of the Conchords," and our Thursday night NBC faves, "The Office" and "30 Rock." Our pick: Tied between the latter two. But hasn’t "Entourage" kinda sucked lately?
Drama series nominees were Showtime’s "Dexter," NBC’s "Friday Night Lights," HBO’s "The Sopranos" and "The Wire," and AMC’s rookie "Mad Men." Our pick: Love ‘em all. The two HBO choices would make us happy. "Mad Men" would make us ecstatic.
"Mad Men" was also nominated for best new show, alongside "Conchords," FX’s "Damages," ABC’s "Pushing Daisies" and Comedy Central’s "Sarah Silverman." Our pick: "Mad Men.""Mad Men." "Mad Men."
