The ’70s Rule: Rock Hudson And Bea Arthur Sing About Dope

Thanks to Tifaux, for, um, turning me on to this. Check out this video or Rock Hudson and Bea Arthur on some 1970s variety show singing about drugs. It’s a jaunty little number, and they seem to want to sound nostalgic for the days when "amyl nitrate was just a guy’s name." But the closeted actor and "Maude" seem to betray quite a bit of familiarity with the world of "sniff, swig, puff…everybody today is turning on."
