October 15th, 2007 — Big Bang Theory, Beauty And The Geek, ANTM, The Bachelor, YouTube, Video Top 5
TV shows are always saturated with beauty. Sex sells and we all know it. This week, Video Top 5 is looking at the shows where the girls are supposed to be hot. Not just shows like where "female doctors who just happen to be strikingly beautiful". And while we’re on the subject matter of attractive doctors, how come we’ve never seen an attractive doctor down at the ER? In reality, it’s usually an old Indian man who has the hands of someone who has been soaking his hands in ice water for the past several weeks. We digress…..
If you have a fetish of hot girls climbing rocks, then you’ve come to the right place. Watch the full episodes of the potential ANTMs as they dig their French Manicures into the rock climb. Also check out full episodes of "Big Bang Theory." Look at diaries of the departed women from the […]

October 1st, 2007 — Extreme Makeover, ER, YouTube, Video Top 5, Grey's Anatomy
Turn off your cell phone, put down the blinds, and get out the tissue box. The shows this week are a bit on the soft side. Whether you sympathize or empathize with the characters on these shows, you’re bound to shed a tear or two. And guys: if caught in the act of weeping during your guilty pleasure, blame the tears on the dry air or claim you have an itch….in both eyes. Your friends or girlfriend may not buy it, but it’s at least worth the try. All in all, these shows leave you either depressed or truly blessed you are not as depressed as these characters.
This week, Video Top 5 looks at five of the tear jerking shows on television. We have highlights of Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Grey’s Anatomy. If you’re curious whether past addicts have conquered their addictions, find out with follow-up videos from past […]

The 59th Primetime Emmy Awards have come and gone. Now that all the congratulation speeches are over and all the pseudo tears have dried up, it’s time for our pampered stars to get back to work. For those of you out there aching for their favorite shows to return, now is the best time of year for television. The dog days of summer television are over and both new and old shows are beginning to premiere.
This week Video Top 5 is highlighting five shows that received a serious surplus of nominations at this years Emmy’s. We have clips from Grey’s Anatomy, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, and The Sopranos. Also featured this week are full episodes of 30 Rock and video interviews with the successful series The Starter Wife. Finally, we have a bizarre montage of doctored clips for our YouTube Clip of the Week.

September 10th, 2007 — YouTube, Video Top 5
Video killed the radio star. Video was later arrested, tried, but ultimately found not guilty after a shocking "temporary insanity" plea. Video checked into rehab and 15 days later claimed its life was back on track. Don’t you just love America?!
MTV was an innovator with the advent of the music video, and even though it has grossly diverted from its musical beginnings (thanks Laguna Beach and MTV Cribs!!) every year they still have an over-the-top award ceremony to crown the best talent in the music industry….that appeal to kids ages 12-16.
Video Top 5 is focusing just on the MTV Video Music Awards this week. We have clips of the best and worst fashion from past VMAs. Check out Britney’s VMA rehearsal. Follow Fabrice Fabrice as he tours the Liberace Museum and goes behind-the-scenes of the celebrity perks at this year’s VMAs. Also, we have exclusive clips of Incubus as they […]

September 4th, 2007 — CW, K-Ville, Fall Shows '07, Bionic Woman, NBC, YouTube, FOX, Video Top 5
Fall is coming. That means the leaves are gonna start changing colors, temperatures drop, and children everywhere begin to complain how much they hate their teachers. Fall is a time for change and the world of television is no exception. Some of your crappy guilty pleasure shows didn’t make the cut for the fall line-up and are replaced with potentially new crappy guilty pleasures. Hopefully, for the networks’ sake, the five shows we have previewed this week will be successful on their debut this fall.
Video Top 5 features five fresh shows coming to your sets this autumn. We have preview clips for Bionic Woman, Cane, Gossip Girl, and Carpoolers. As well as, the full pilot episode for K-Ville.
Also, in the wake of Miss South Carolina’s "blonde moment", our YouTube Clip of the Week plays off the classic dumb blonde jokes.

After a disastrous car wreck, this […]

August 27th, 2007 — Hell's Kitchen, Top Chef, YouTube, Video Top 5, Reality TV
America has a very strange relationship with food. We treat anorexic celebs like demi-gods, idolize "heroin-chic" models, and have more infomercials about silly ab machines than any other nation in the world. The irony is that most Americans treat their bodies like s***! There’s a fast food joint on just about every square block, we drive everywhere, and eat every meal like it’s our last. Now the TV networks are starting to cash in on this love-hate relationship with food.
This week, Video Top 5 looks at shows revolving around food. Top Chef 3 is getting ready for its Season 3 premiere in Miami. We have a strong feeling Spaghetti-O’s won’t be on the menu! We also have extended highlights and outtakes from Hell’s Kitchen.
Two shows that exploit the obesity epidemic in our nation are The Biggest Loser and Fat March. We’re not sure which title is more offensive, but […]

August 13th, 2007 — Big Brother, YouTube, Video Top 5, Reality TV
This week’s Video Top 5 menu includes a wide array of tastes and flavors from around the TV world. For starters we have Flash Gordon clips. This new show on Sci-Fi is attempting to piggy-bank off the success of Smallville’s triumphs. Will this new show take off or plummet into obscurity faster than Mr. Flash himself?
Our entree includes full episodes of Kidnapped. See if this new thriller/drama satisfies your craving for lies, deception, and mystery. If that doesn’t fill you up, then perhaps David Duchovney’s new Showtime original will. DD plays a man whose life is spiralling out of control and you can join him for the wild ride. Where’s Scully when you need her?!
Side dishes of Hogan Knows Best and Big Brother 8 will give you all the protein you need.
Finally, for dessert we have a delicious treat for you: our YouTube Clip of the Week. It’s […]

August 6th, 2007 — The Closer, YouTube, Video Top 5
Looks like somebody’s got a case of the Mondays. If you’re extra tired of the painful commutes to and from work after a great weekend and the four cups of coffee never kicked in at work, then we have a nice treat for you. This week we’re featuring shows that make Mondays a little less painful. They won’t make you want to not stab your boss in the eye with a fork on Mondays, but at least its a start.
We have interviews with the cast of Big Love and The Closer. You can enter to win a chance to appear on ABC Family’s Greek. Come check out what it takes to be a successful country singer on Six Degrees of Martina McBride. And find out if surgery in Hollywood is as painful as listening to the updates on Lindsay Lohan ad nauseum on Dr. 90210.
Finally, we have a bizarre YouTube […]

July 23rd, 2007 — Hell's Kitchen, YouTube, Video Top 5, So You Think You Can Dance
They drink tea, have bad teeth, and no longer have the best navy in the world. Yep, we’re talking about the British. It’s not all tea and crumpets for these lads as we definitely see represented on TV. Our British TV friends are a bit of a wild group and for some reason are apparently good judges of things. They make for good TVs so we guess we can let them stay. Just as long as they don’t try to tax our stamps and sugar!
Hollywood has a new narcissist in town and her name is Victoria Beckham. If you haven’t seen it already, visit the Beckhams and see why Victoria is more irritating than the Spice Girls overexposure in the 90’s.
Next up are our token British judges on America’s Got Talent and So You Think You Can Dance. We don’t know why there’s a trend of British judges, we […]

July 16th, 2007 — YouTube, Video Top 5
Are the dog days of summer getting you down? Are TV reruns boring you to death?! If so, help is just around the corner. Video Top 5 is highlighting some of the new shows released this fall. Some will be duds while others will be studs. Some are entirely new projects while others are just recycled material from current shows. Take a look at some of the shows before the networks start pimping them out.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a follow-up series to the Terminator trilogy. Unfortunately, the "Governator" WILL (not) BE BACK (sorry, that line was too tempting not to use).
When an innocent nerd named Chuck accidentally uncovers a plethora of government secrets, things start to get delicious for the pocket-protector wearing hero as he is catapulted into a world of espionage.
The knock-off of Grey’s Anatomy has a new face and a new name. It’s called Private […]
