April 18th, 2008 — The Hills
Well, surprise surprise. The New Yorker doesn’t like "The Hills" because it’s stupid. Can’t you even find a straw man to defend the show before demolishing it? I guess that would be an indication that the subject is worth your time.

March 31st, 2008 — The Hills
The photo-agency caption for this picture is "Audrina Patridge to Make Paw Prints As A Las Vegas Pussycat Doll."
I’m kind of confused by what Audrina is doing with the Dolls, since she’s from "The Hills" and not part of the Pussycat Dolls or their various TV shows like "Girlicious."
And I’m still wondering why there’s a Vegas nightclub called Pure. I mean, shouldn’t they have called it "Filthy?"
Finally, her collarbones are freaking me out. Somebody give this girl a sandwich!

Do we really need another season of "The Hills?" Why bother? Maybe if I were the BBC’s reporter investigating the effects of smoking pot I’d watch it. Seriously, the only reason to ever watch that show is if you’re too stoned to reach the remote and change the channel.
Help me out here, blog readers. Do you watch that show? While sober? Because far as I’m concerned, “May cause enjoyment of shows like ‘The Hills‘” needs to be be added to this comic video about the side-effects of weed:

January 11th, 2008 — The Hills, Heidi Montag, Gossip
The Hills whore Heidi Montag got a new rack last year, and now she’s reportedly addicted to plastic surgery. Sources say Montag is now on a surgery rampage and is planning to get Botox injections, liposuction, and her ears pinned back. Because she’s a Doberman? Hell, I don’t know. A source tells InTouch Weekly:
“Heidi seems obsessed with plastic surgery. It’s all she seems to talk about. Heidi is far from done with her surgeries.”
Whatever psychosis this chick is going through, everybody should just chill, because it seems to be working from the neck down. She should just throw the rest of the money at her face, but she might have a hard time finding a doctor. Heidi looks like she has Downs, so the doctor would basically need to start over from scratch. And I’m thinking there might be lawsuits and police questioning involved with sneaking into Angelina Jolie’s house […]

December 11th, 2007 — The Hills
The levels of falseness in "The Hills" keep getting more and more complicated. I expect a media studies professor from UCLA to come up with an explanation for how people who you’d call "totally fake" if you met them in regular life got a "reality" show, and then developed secondary false personas for the cameras, piling pretense upon pretense until the entire thing might as well be scripted.
Anyway, the fake wedding between two of those fake people has been canceled: Heidi and Spencer are going to remain single. I think this is for real, though.

"The Hills," the MTV docu-soap
"reality" show that follows Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag and their friends through the travails
of being rich, cute, and televised, is drifting further and further from reality. Just Jared says that Star says that some photographers said that they saw Lauren "LC" Conrad and Heidi Montag being friendly in secret. They’ve been fighting viciously on the show. What’s up? Are they making up? Was this whole fight thing just a fake-out?
It doesn’t matter, really, except that the show’s going scripted. "The Hills" is hardly any more true to life than the goings-on at "Dante’s Cove," the gay supernatural romance soap opera.
Yes, there’s a gay supernatural romance soap opera. I had no idea either, but apparently it’s in its third season. Wikipedia says it’s had "mixed critical reviews" which I think means that some people (you know who you are!) were thrilled to have softcore […]

November 2nd, 2007 — Supernatural, ANTM, The Hills, Desperate Housewives, Daily Show, Ugly Betty
Everything about the WGA strike is over here.
USAT just noticed the homosexual gentlemen on "Desperate Housewives." They’re not quite on-stereotype as the usual TV gays, and they have the same issues as everyone else on Wisteria Lane. That is, they’re crazy. I think that’s a good thing.
ONTD posted the latest "music" video from "Top Model" Cycle 4 contestant Lisa D’Amato. It’s just as bad as the last one.TV Guide has an interview with Jared Padaleki from "Supernatural."
The South Carolina Democratic Party has rejected Stephen Colbert’s petition to get onto the presidential ballot, because he’s a joke candidate, and they just won’t have it. What has this world come to when I’m getting my political news from Star Magazine?
"The Hills" is the fakest of all the so-called "Reality" shows out there. We know that. But E! says they’re having a casting call for guests at the wedding. That’s a […]

Give the paparazzi credit this time. They flattened the "fauxality" show "The Hills" once and for all by catching pinheads Heidi and Spencer filming at the airport, complete with a costume change. Way to go! (TMZ.com)
