Former Miss Nevada, Katie Rees is back in the news for scandalous behavior. This time, instead of girl-on-girl nudity in a bar she just got plowed and talked shit to the cops.

TMZ is reporting that Heath Ledger’s autopsy revealed that he died of “acute intoxication” caused by the effects of several prescription medications. And now a commerical for every drug on the market:
The NYPD found five medications in Ledger’s apartment after his death, including anti-anxiety medications alprazolam (Xanax), diazepam (Valium) and Lorazepam (Ativan). The sleeping medication zopiclone (Lunesta) and the sedative temazepam (Restoril) — which is used by people with “debilitating insomnia” — were also found. Doxylamine is an antihistamine used in the short-term treatment of insomnia.

What’s sad, is that there is probably a team of pharmaceutical marketing executives working on new packaging for these drugs right now. Instead of a butterfly, the new Lunesta box will have a picture a Heath Ledger and the tagline: Lunesta. Sleep with the angels. Like Heath!

Believe me Roselyn, millions of folks would also you rather go naked than wear fur. Not because we care about little animals being skinned to use as coats, but obviously because we all want to see you naked. Usually I equate PETA with vocal liberals screaming for animal rights and wanting the public to see repulsive pictures of animals being tortured. No thank you. But stripping down hot actresses and having them press their naked bodies to glass in advertisements is to be equated with brilliance. Sign me up for a PETA rally . . . assuming we are fighting for the right of actresses to appear naked in PETA ads . . .

In the South we love our Moonpies, though if y’all are elsewhere in the country you may not know what these are. The nostalgic, extremely bad-for-you, large, round chocolate and marshmellow snack brings back childhood memories for me. And, Jessica Alba’s face during pregnancy brings back memories of Moonpies. Now I know better than to pick on a pregnant woman’s body–I’m not that tacky!–but is her face off-limits too? I hope not because I want to point out how different Jessica Alba’s face looked at the premier of her movie “The Eye” this weekend. It’s totally bloated and even her nose looks swollen. That comes from years of walking a beat, doing the research and following leads to get the story. Other bloggers may have fancy pants degrees from respected ivy covered liberal arts schools, but did they live blog the Vietnam War? No. No they did not. The key to writing a good story is coming up with a compelling headline that is evocative with just a hint of scandal, then diving right into the story so the readers will be instantly immersed in the narrative. Going on and on about unrelated or tangential information will only cause the reader to become disinterested and stop reading. Where was I?
