April 13th, 2008 — Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bones
Fan favorite David Boreanaz will be forever TV legend as Buffy’s vampire love Angel, both in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and the spinoff "Angel." Now he’s FBI agent Seely Booth, bantering with Emily Deschanel’s forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan on Fox’s "Bones." After a layoff since November, "Bones" returns to Fox tonight in yet another timeslot - Mondays at 8 - and Boreanaz got on the phone with a few reporters Friday afternoon to talk about it. Here’s more from the interview, starting with the otherwise easygoing Boreanaz getting amusingly snippy about whether "Bones" is "on the bubble" for renewal…
(Read part one of the interview.)
Question: I’m going to ask about show being in yet another time slot…and with "Bones" being mentioned by some people as a bubble show, is that something that worries the cast and crew, that people won’t be able to follow anymore?Boreanaz: I’m sorry, are you […]

Now he’s FBI agent Seely Booth, bantering with Emily Deschanel’s forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan on Fox’s "Bones." The show is not as beloved as "Buffy" - what is? - but Boreanaz remains a fan fave. Booth is brave, flirty and fun.
After a layoff since November, "Bones" returns to Fox next week in yet another timeslot - Mondays at 8 - and Boreanaz got on the phone with a few reporters Friday afternoon to talk about it. We’ll post more from the interview on Monday.
Question: What is your thought about (Booth and Bones) getting together?Answer: I think they already are. I don’t think they neccessarily were ever apart. The functuion of the relationship really is the function of the show in a lot of ways. These […]

April 7th, 2008 — Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The response to PROJECT BUFFY has been overwhelming…in a good way. It seems that long time BUFFY fans are still enjoying talking about their favorite show even years after it ended. As a relative newbie in the BUFFYverse, the number on question I get is “what was your favorite episode?”. It’s a scary […]

March 26th, 2008 — Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Done and done. I set out on a mission to watch the entire series of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and I finished…in an impressive amount of time if I do say so myself. Although I spent about four weeks casually watching the first two season, I tackled the last 5 seasons of the […]

March 21st, 2008 — Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The bad news from the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reunion at Paley Fest is, well, not really news: Don’t get your hopes up for a "Buffy" movie. But there was lots of good news too, plus Nicholas Brendon apparently acted the ass, and David Boreanaz and Allyson Hannigan didn’t show up at all. (Coincidence they’re the ones with new series?)
I can’t pick one of these, because as an ardent fan, I had to read them all…

March 19th, 2008 — Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Friday Night Lights
I know you may find this very hard to believe, but there’s been two TV bloggers in this hotel room since Friday and the TV hasn’t been turned on with the exception of a few minutes on Saturday morning. Bizarre. Ducky and I have caught a few minutes here and there on my […]

On Friday I’m heading out to LA for week full of TV fun at Paley Fest ‘08. I’ll be attending some sure to be incredible panels. It’s a TV lovers dream as I’ll be front and center with the casts of Pushing Daisies, Chuck, and Friday Night Lights. Sadly, it turns out […]

For those of you interested in the latest on Project Buffy, I’m happy to report that I’ve finished Season 4 and I’m on to Disc 2 of Season 5. I have until March 20th to finish all seven seasons. The amount of episodes I have still to watch is rather intimidating, but fear not, I […]

March 5th, 2008 — Buffy the Vampire Slayer
It’s amazing to me that years after "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" went into syndication it’s still a touchstone for sci-fi fans. Maybe not that amazing: It was, after all, a really good show. And it’s still got new storylines to discover, like the one in which Buffy has sex with a Slayer named Satsu.
This happens, of course, in the comic book - the New York Times has made a PDF sample available for download, if you’re curious. And yes, it’s got more lesbian sex, although this time it’s just a sort of awkward, probably regrettable hookup not at all like the game-changing Willow/Tara relationship. Besides, why the hell not? You know the subtext has been there all along.
I’m curious though, why the franchise hasn’t had any gay male characters (at least, not insofar as I know- feel free to correct me here). I know there’s plenty of Spike/Angel fan-fic […]
