May 14th, 2008 — ghost whisperer, Cold Case, New Adventures of Old Christine, The Unit, Survivor, CSI, How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory, CBS
CBS has ordered five new series - two comedies and three dramas - toadd to its 18 returning shows. Like the other nets we’ve seen so far, this is largely a stand-pat schedule shaped by the behind-the-scenes tumult of the writers strike. The biggest change might be the hour of comedy from 8-9 on Wednesdays.
Mondays: "Big Bang Theory," "How I Met Your Mother," "Two and a Half Men," the new comedy "Worst Week" (right) and "CSI Miami."
Tuesdays: "NCIS," the new drama "The Mentalist" and "Without A Trace," which moves from Thursdays.
Wednesdays: "The New Adventures of Old Christine," the new comedy "Project Gary," "Criminal Minds" and "CSI NY."
Thursdays: "Survivor," "CSI" and the new drama "Eleventh Hour."
Fridays: "Ghost Whisperer," the new "The Ex List" and "Numb3rs."
Saturdays: Two hours of "Crimetime" - i.e. repeats - and "48 Hours Mystery."
Sundays: "60 Minutes," "The Amazing Race," "Cold Case" and "The Unit," which moves from […]

February 13th, 2008 — Cane, CSI, ghost whisperer, Dexter, Cold Case, Big Bang Theory, Two And A Half Men, Moonlight, How I Met Your Mother, Shark, Criminal Minds, Without A Trace, Jericho
CBS today unveiled a no-frills list of premiere dates and episode counts for its shows returning after the strike. The plans are ambitious, especially for the comedies. "How I Met Your Mother," "Big Bang Theory" and "Two And A Half Men" (left) are all set to return on March 17, producing nine more episodes for the season. That’s going to call for a lot of extra Skittles in the writers’ room, I’d say. Another Monday show, "CSI Miami," is due back March 24 and expected to produce eight more hourlong episodes, which is, come to think of it, almost twice as much television as nine episodes of a sitcom.
Other shows’ return dates and episode counts: "Cold Case," March 30, five. "Criminal Minds" and "CSI: NY," April 2 and seven each. "CSI" and "Without A Trace," April 3 and six. "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs," April 4 and six. "NCIS," April 8 […]

October 29th, 2007 — Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, Bones, The Simpsons, Grey's Anatomy
"Grey’s Anatomy" had its Halloween special last week, and BuzzSugar has the talk about it.
"Big Bang Theory" is celebrating Halloween tonight, and you can find out more at Seriously OMG.
"Bones" is up for a Halloween special tomorrow night, and TubeTalk is all over that one.
On Sunday, "The Simpsons" will have "Treehouse Of Horror XVIII" and Wikipedia has the best details I’ve found so far: Parodies of "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" and "E.T." and a story about Flanders punishing the town’s kids for their naughtiness.
Oddly, the "Family Guy" episode also involves a bit of "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" parody, although it’s not a Halloween special. It is, however, the 100th episode, "Stewie Kills Lois," in which Stewie actually makes a serious attempt on his mother’s life. Yeah, matricide is always hilarious.

October 15th, 2007 — Big Bang Theory, Beauty And The Geek, ANTM, The Bachelor, YouTube, Video Top 5
TV shows are always saturated with beauty. Sex sells and we all know it. This week, Video Top 5 is looking at the shows where the girls are supposed to be hot. Not just shows like where "female doctors who just happen to be strikingly beautiful". And while we’re on the subject matter of attractive doctors, how come we’ve never seen an attractive doctor down at the ER? In reality, it’s usually an old Indian man who has the hands of someone who has been soaking his hands in ice water for the past several weeks. We digress…..
If you have a fetish of hot girls climbing rocks, then you’ve come to the right place. Watch the full episodes of the potential ANTMs as they dig their French Manicures into the rock climb. Also check out full episodes of "Big Bang Theory." Look at diaries of the departed women from the […]

September 24th, 2007 — Big Bang Theory, Fall Shows '07
I was glad to hear Johnny Galecki was coming back to TV. On
“Roseanne,” he was endearingly befuddled as Darlene’s doormat boyfriend.
But, unfortunately for a show that’s supposed to be about geniuses, “The Big Bang Theory” is fatally dumb. The sitcom, debuting tonight on CBS, starts in the lobby
at a high-IQ sperm bank and, well, that pretty much tells you all you need to know. The humor doesn’t get much smarter than the junior-high level double entendre in the title.
Galecki and Jim Parsons are Leonard and Sheldon, two
socially awkward geniuses of a kind found mainly on TV. They sit around their
apartment knocking out groundbreaking higher-math equations and parsing sci fi
trivia while wishing they could score with a real girl. Enter their new
neighbor, Kaley Cuoco as Penny, a bubbly sexpot who seems oblivious to her
effect on these two loads.
Actually, that’s a typo. I meant to type “lads.”
But “loads” works.

September 10th, 2007 — Dancing with the Stars, Fall Shows '07, Two And A Half Men, Big Bang Theory, CSI, K-Ville, The Bachelor, Chuck, FOX, How I Met Your Mother, Prison Break, Heroes
A big night for all the networks, with a couple of tough head-to-head matchups.
ABC will find out if "Dancing With The Stars" remains strong. The new "Samantha Who?" got much buzz for Christina Applegate (left) as an amnesiac trying to change her screwed-up life, with Jean Smart and Kevin Dunn as her parents and Barry Watson as her boyfriend. It’s not clear if repeated title changes and an Oct. 15 premiere date reflect backstage problems or just the usual Hollywood mishigas. "dancing" and "The Bachelor" bow on Sept. 24.
CBS has a lot riding on the success of its Monday-night comedies, notably the growing popularity of "How I Met Your Mother." But "Big Bang Theory" looks like a loser, with two nerds getting all hot and bothered over their new neighbor Kaley Cuoco, in a lame Internet-era version of leering "Three’s Company" comedy. And no one understands why the underwhelming "Rules […]

September 4th, 2007 — Big Bang Theory, Fall Shows '07
One of the nicer but quite possibly meaningless bits of casting news for the fall is that Sara Gilbert has signed up for at least a multi-episode story arc on her old TV boyfriend’s show. On "The Big Bang Theory," she’ll once again be romancing actor Johnny Galecki, who played David to her Darlene on "Roseanne" for several years. In the new show he’s a spazzy geek who along with roommate Jim Parsons has the hots for the not-so-bright hottie-next-door (the big bang, get it?), played by Kaley Cuoco. It’s like "Three’s Company" with jokes about quantum physics, and Galecki’s expressive face is hidden behind a big pair of nerd specs, and it…pretty much…sucks. Gilbert can’t help but improve things, and she and Galecki had real comic chemistry - Darlene wore the pants in their relationship. Still, I’m expecting this to be one of the season’s earlier cancellations, though by […]
