Weekend Picks: November 3-4

Desperate Housewives
Carlos leaves Edie; Susan’s father turns out not to be dead; there’s a surprise at a Halloween party.

The SimpsonsAll new Treehouse Of Horror featuring parodies of Mr. And Mrs. Smith, E.T., and Se7en! It’s the highlight of my TV week at least. Followed by an all-new "Family Guy" in which Stewie really does try to kill Lois.

Amazing Race
Season 12 kicks off Sunday night on CBS with 11 teams and a new song by Seal called  "Amazing." The married lesbian ministers look like they have a good chance, but the goths seem to be the most easily recognizable team.

Car explosions, intense car chases, and monster football hits are just samples of the big-time action found in many of today’s popular TV shows.
