“90210” (New Series)An edgy, contemporary spin-off of the iconic drama “Beverly Hills, 90210,” the new 90210 looks at life through the eyes of Annie Mills (Shenae Grimes, “Degrassi: The Next Generation”) and her brother Dixon (Tristan Wilds, “The Wire”), whose first day at West Beverly Hills High School leaves no doubt they’re not in […]

May 12th, 2008 — 90210, Til Death, Dollhouse, Back To You, New Amsterdam
I’ll just keep updating this item I think, because the pilot pickup news is coming fast and furious…
Fox picked up J.J. Abrams "Fringe" and kept "‘Til Death" alive but won’t be going "Back To You" next season.
"New Amsterdam" wasn’t immortal after all.
CW picked up "90210," complete with Jennie Garth, and "Stylista."
CW also picked up a show Nikki Finke calls "This Is Our Money-Grubbing Attempt to Clone Gossip Girls But Not Call It A Spin-Off."
And Nikki sez Tori Spelling might also be in "90210." Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Fox also picked up Joss Whedon’s "Dollhouse."
And the writers strike screwed up the whole process.

April 25th, 2008 — 90210
Hilary Duff has been approached to star in the "90210" remake headed for CW this fall, according to an exclusive report from E! Online’s Kristin. She’d play Annie Mills, a Beverly Hills High School student who’s into theater. No confirmation or denial yet from either side on the report from a source close to the show.
But you have to wonder if the onetime "Lizzie McGuire" star would really want to go back to playing a high schooler despite her busy career in movies and music. Not to mention her successful attempt to recast her image as that of a fully grownup hottie ———>

April 16th, 2008 — 90210, Dancing with the Stars, Project Runway, House
Maureen Ryan has an awesomely substantive interview with "House" producer David Shore that gives a lot of info if you read carefully. Supposedly this is only part of the interview, too. (The Watcher)
Jenny Garth is out of the "My Best Friend’s Girl" comedy pilot, leading to speculation that she may reprise her "90210" character, Kelly, in the new version of that show. Writer Rob Thomas was said to be seeking her. (Hollywood Reporter)
Just one problem. Thomas is stepping back from the "90210" gig to focus on his two other pilots (for ABC), so Fox is looking for a new showrunner. (E! Online)
