BET has once again attracted the ire of commentators both black and white. This time, though, they’ve got something worth fighting for: a satirical take on the sad state of hip-hop culture. Sure, BET has to accept a lot of the blame for that state, but they know which way the wind is blowing. So when D’Mite produced a video angrily denouncing non-reading, non-child-supporting, beer-swilling, dub-buying hip-hop fanatics, BET aired it.
