“Anchorwoman” - Blame KYTX

Some critics have thrown up their hands and said that to rail against the smarmy hunk of junk that is Fox’s "Anchorwoman" is merely giving the cynical production exactly what it wants - publicity. Variety opines that the show, "is rather quaint, beginning from the supposition that most local news isn’t a joke already…" The Boston Globe says, "There’s just no point in outrage." Well, I beg to differ. People everywhere may deserve better than they get from their local TV news, but the people of Tyler, Texas, have not to my knowledge done anything to deserve such shabby treatment as they got from Fox and local station KYTX in service of "Anchorwoman," which begins tonight.
